Planning to ask your beloved to marry you can be a little daunting. Proposing the question is always a little worrying. However, most times the answer is 'yes' and your next worry should actually be getting one of the best Engagement Rings of her dreams.

Going around the finger is the band. This band is usually made of gold, platinum or silver. There are also other different metals that can be added for durability of the metal used in the creation of the perfect ring for the perfect lady. In its natural state, gold is usually a yellow-orange. Some people prefer the less brighter color of the gold which is generally a less pure gold and is roughly 14 or 10 carats. The best idea is to actually purchase a pure gold ring to encourage the life time thereof.

Generally, the setting is the design of the ring where the gemstones are set in. This setting keeps the stone in place. Generally, a diamond is used when purchasing an engagement ring. This however, does not have to be set in stone. There are many other gemstones that can be used for the engagement ring.

The carat, clarity, cut and color are the 4 C's that you need to be on the look out for when choosing the ring for the lady to whom you are going to propose. There is of course another C. Always set a limit to what you are prepared to spend on this special and important ring.

In the diamond field, it is important to keep the 4 C's in mind. That is the clarity, cut, colour and carat. These are good to know about before purchasing any type of stoned ring. Then of course, there is the other C. Diamonds, being precious stones tend to get more expensive the bigger they get. It is important that you set a price limit on the ring you are about to purchase. Smaller diamonds do tend to be a little less expensive, but they do resemble your devotion to the lady.

When choosing a diamond ring for your beautiful bride to be, it must be kept in mind the 4 C's. Cut, clarity, colour and of course the carat. Then without saying, comes the 5th and the most important part, the cost.

Ask the lady what she would like in an engagement ring and get going with the proposal. Taking your lady shopping with you is a good idea, as this way she gets what she wants within the budget allocated for it, the most valuable and important part of any lady's heart.

Once the ring has been purchased, it is always a bright idea to have it insured. This covers for any damage or loss to Engagement Rings if something untowards happens. Usually it is not to expensive and will cover the problem if it ever arises. Good luck to those shopping for this fantastic part of your lady's life.
